Un antropologo inglese scopre una mostruosa creatura del passato intrappolata nei ghiacci della Manciuria. Convinto che si tratti dell'"anello mancante" nell'evoluzione umana, lo fa prelevare e caricare su un vagone della trans-siberiana diretto in Europa. Durante il trasporto però la creatura si risveglia dal suo sonno millenario e inizia a compiere una strage uccidendo uno a uno i passeggeri del treno.
