House of Gucci, il film diretto da Ridley Scott, segue la storia della famiglia Gucci, raccontando l'azienda attraverso le persone che ne hanno fatto parte, tra fama, genialità, momenti difficili e sofferenze. In particolar modo il film ruota attorno al fatto di sangue avvenuto il 27 marzo 1995 e che sconvolse il mondo della moda: l'omicidio di Maurizio Gucci. A interpretare il noto imprenditore italiano, all'epoca dei fatti già ex direttore dell’azienda, sarà Adam Driver.
Lady Gaga invece vestirà i panni di Patrizia Reggiani, l’ex moglie di Gucci che fu accusata di aver organizzato l’omicidio dopo essere stata lasciata dal marito per una donna più giovane. Patrizia Reggiani ordinò a un killer di uccidere il marito, freddato da quattro colpi di pistola nell'atrio del suo palazzo. Condannata a 29 anni di carcere, ridotti poi a 26 in appello, la donna, conosciuta ai più anche con il suo appellativo di “Vedova Nera”, ha tentato il suicidio in prigione e dal 2017 è tornata in libertà per buona condotta.
Nel cast ci sono altri attori di grande pregio come: Jared Leto (Paolo Gucci), Al Pacino (Aldo Gucci) e Jeremy Irons.
