In realtà non muore perché il suo corpo viene trafugato giusto un attimo prima da una banda di sicari che viene dal futuro. Alex si sveglia in una sala operatoria del 2009 e scopre che qualcuno sta cercando di utilizzare il suo corpo per immettervi il proprio cervello.
