Sulla costa di Valparaiso, in Cile, la vacanza del turista americano Gringo (Eli Roth), giunto in visita all'amico Ariel (Ariel Levy) dopo aver posto fine al suo matrimonio, volge al meglio quando incontra un gruppo di tre belle turiste (Natasha Yarovenko, Andrea Osvart e Lorenza Izzo) con cui andare a divertirsi. Quando però nel corso della notte un violento terremoto colpisce la zona e devasta ogni cosa compreso il nightclub sottorraneo in cui si stanno divertendo, il terrore prende il sopravvento e cercare di raggiungere la superficie sarà solo l'inizio del caos infernale che li attende una volta all'aria aperta.
