Ariel ha una figlia, Melody, ma la gioia per il suo arrivo e' turbata dalla minaccia di Morgana, la vendicativa sorella di Ursula, che la costringe a nascondere alla piccola la sua parentela con le sirene. Il richiamo degli abissi, però, e' troppo forte per Melody: il suo sogno di diventare sirena verra' sfruttato da Morgana nel suo diabolico piano di conquista dei Sette Mari. Per ritrovare la figlia e la felicita' della sua famiglia, ad Ariel non resta che lanciare un S.O.S. a Sebastian e Flounder, i suoi amici di infanzia.
