Jack e David, due studenti americani in vacanza in Inghilterra, vengono assaliti in una piovosa notte di plenilunio da una mostruosa creatura. Jack viene orrendamente dilaniato, David viene ferito e il mostro viene ucciso dagli abitanti del villaggio. A David, ricoverato in ospedale, appare in sogno Jack che lo mette in guardia sul fatto che lui stesso diventerà come il mostro che lo ha ferito. David non vuole crederci ma al successivo plenilunio si trasforma in un essere mostruoso mezzo uomo e mezzo lupo che inizia a fare una strage.
