Un aereo inglese è abbattuto sui cieli di Parigi dalla contraerea nazista. I tre componenti l'equipaggio si gettano col paracadute atterrando più o meno fortunosamente nella capitale francese. Qui, aiutati da un direttore d'orchestra e da un imbianchino, iniziano una fuga attraverso la Francia occupata. Dopo mille peripezie e una buona dose di fortuna, riescono a mettersi in salvo.
