Ripetendo le vicissitudini del precedente film, ritroviamo Vic, innamorata di Philippe, che fa di tutto per farlo ingelosire; il papà che litiga con la mamma e se ne va di casa per raggiungere il successo nel suo lavoro; la sorellina Samantha, oramai grande, che ha le sue avventure e infine la bisnonna Poupette che, all'ultimo momento decide di non sposarsi più col suo bel vedovo. Il film non ha più nemmeno la grazia ruffiana del primo episodio.
