Un gruppo di assassini mutanti che si nasconde nei pressi del Golden Gate a San Francisco compie indisturbato durante la notte efferati delitti, mutilando le proprie vittime. Gli studenti di high-school Natalie e Steven, insieme alla loro amica appassionata di film horror Paula, sono gli unici ad assistere in diretta a uno di questi delitti e diventano perciò il prossimo bersaglio dei mostri maniaci. Si troveranno pertanto a combattere la loro battaglia per la sopravvivenza.
