I tre soldati White, Diego e Oldsman sono appena tornati da una spedizione in Medio Oriente e si ritrovano ospiti del Centro medico dell'esercito americano per il trattamento dello stress post-traumatico. Nel tentativo di abbandonare l'edificio, i tre rimangono intrappolati in un ascensore, da dove scoprono che la città è appena diventata il bersaglio di un grave attentato terroristico. Mentre il mondo esterno sta cercando di affrontare l'improvviso pericolo, White, l'unica donna del trio, si impegna a dissipare la graduale tensione che si viene a creare tra gli altri due. Quando poi White si sforza di trovare una via di fuga al soffocante confinamento che sta vivendo, la sua visione del mondo sarà capovolta, rivelando una verità inaspettata.
