Di ritorno da una partita di campionato, un autobus pieno di giocatori di basket, cheerleader e allenatori viene attaccato da The Creeper. Si tratta di una bestia alata che compare ogni 23 anni per nutrirsi senza sosta per 23 giorni di esseri umani, al fine di rigenerarsi. Quando scende la notte, il terrorizzato gruppo di giovani atleti deve vedersela con le proprie paure e i propri pregiudizi e unirsi in una lotta senza speranza contro l'orribile creatura.
