Palmambrogio è un giovane poeta che arriva a Milano in cerca di un editore. Fa amicizia invece con Antonmatteo "Click" Colombo, fotografo in perenne ricerca dello scoop vincente. I due passano attraverso alcune delusioni, finché Antonmatteo riesce a fotografare un sequestro di persona; i banditi però gli sparano e lo accecano. Affidata la famiglia all'amico, "Click" se ne va, solo, all'avventura.
