Con il pretesto di fare una vacanza, Giulia si imbarca con i figli Annette e Norman sul transatlantico Titanic in partenza dal porto di Southampton per il suo viaggio inaugurale. In realtà il suo scopo è quello di sottrarre all'influenza del marito Richard i due bambini. L'uomo, però, resosi conto della situazione riesce a trovare posto sulla nave. Giulia racconta al marito che Norman non è suo figlio, ma il frutto di un'avventura occasionale. Intanto la maledetta notte del 14 aprile (e l'iceberg) si avvicina.
