Un giorno l'amico Pennalunga manda al dottore dal Tibet un favoloso animale a due teste che Dolittle intende far esibire in un circo. Con i soldi guadagnati il medico vuole armare una nave e partire alla ricerca del mitico Gasteropodone. Per avere aiutato la foca Sofia a raggiungere il marito, Dolittle finisce in tribunale dove viene preso per pazzo.
